Evaluation Kit:
SMD 1102/1113/03

General Description

The SMD1113/03/02 EVAL kit is a fully functional evaluation board designed to demonstrate the features of the SMD1113, SMD1103 or SMD1102 Nonvolatile, Triple, 10-Bit Data Autonomous Voltage Monitoring Supervisory Circuits. The parts operate over an input supply voltage range of 2.7-5.5V.

The EVAL board monitors up to 3 unique input voltages, ranging from 0V to 5.5V. Unlike similar products, the SMD1113/03/02 feature on-board nonvolatile memory, making them truly 'User-Programmable'. In addition, the SMD1102 has an on-chip temperature sensor.

Several key, user-configurable functions are:

  1. Alarm limit settings for all 3 channels.
  2. 4-unique Alarm 'Alert Region' settings.
  3. Selectable Alarm sources (input channels).
  4. Selectable one-shot or continuous input voltage monitoring.
  5. Selectable one-shot or continuous Alarm (SMBALERT #) monitoring.
  6. SMD1102 has an on-chip Temperature Sensor

Additional features included on the EVAL board:

  • User-Programmable interface to digitally control analog supervisory functions.
  • Contains both the SMD1103 and the SMD1113 or the SMD1102
  • LED visual indicator (SMBALERT #)
  • External 'REF IN' pin for user-supplied VREF
  • EZ-connect power and signal pins.
  • SOIC packages for easy probing.
